Peccioli Villa | Independent Accommodation with Private Pool. A Dream in Tuscany

4 Bedroom Villa in Peccioli, Ghizzano di Peccioli

The newly restored red villa was used in the past as a stable and then as the farm managerโ€™s house. Today it is called 'Villino Rosso' because of itโ€™s very beautiful red plaster work. It is located in a big working farm with cows in a 300 year old olive grove, to walk around. It has a beautiful position up on a hill with a gorgeous view of the surrounding hills, some topped with ancient villages: Volterra is the most impressive. It is a great location from which to explore the area and even for some longer day trips. A self-catering and beautiful villa, nicely appointed with all the conveniences and air conditioning, to feel very at home. The swimming pool is private for the guests and has the most amazing views and a black interior which creates a mirror-like appearance. The spectacular Golf Resort of Castelfalfi with 27 hole facility is only 3 miles from Villino Rosso, perfect place for those who visit our cities of art and at the same time relax playing golf.

Summary: We were in Italy for 21 days. We stayed in 3 different VRBO's and this was the best! It was our last stop and after visiting Rome, Florence, Venice, and Bologna, our 4 days here were like being in paradise. The home is incredible, the countryside was breathtaking, the location was perfect, and the owners were fabulous. I think a trip to Italy without staying here would be a mistake. Thanks for everything Vicky!!!

Summary: This home is everything you were hoping for and then some. The photos honestly do not do it any justice because it so much nicer in person. The home is so very clean. There is plenty of room to spread out. There were four of us (2 adults and 2 young children) and we had plenty of extra space. The kitchen is appropriately stocked for cooking. The highlight of this property, for us, was the pool. We spent the better part of each day swimming. There is a small town with a little shop not far away for basics and a larger grocery store a bit further away that has everything. Last but not least, if the owner offers to cook for you for the night of your arrival- DO IT. She is an amazing cook and makes sooo much amazing food. You will even have leftovers. Highly recommend this location. It will not disappoint.

Summary: Vicky and Giovanni are great hosts. Easy dirt road access with an unbeatable view of rolling hills as far as the eye can see. We took advantage of the optional meal that they prepare the night of arrival and are glad we did. We had leftovers for days! We also spent an evening in the 'big house' rolling our own pasta and preparing yet another great meal (yes, with more left overs!). The house is very comfortable!! We had 4 adults and 2 kids and there's plenty of room as we didn't even use the 4th bedroom! The kitchen is totally loaded with everything you need. In early mornings you may see pheasant and possibly deer. This place a working farm and has charm around every corner. We were there 5 nights and wished we had more. Vicky mentioned that a family came to stay for a few weeks and decided to rent it for 3 years!! I could continue, but this is more than just a place to stay...this is an immersive experience. Top amenities: 1. The private pool is amazing 2. The views are incredible, 3. The house is charming and stocked, 4. Hit up the rooftop deck for extra sunrise/sunset views. 5) Their cooking is SO good and added an extra special touch to our stay. 6) Good wifi, 7) there's a big garden (depending on time of year) to grab extra veggies! 8) There are many extras (I don't want to spoil it for you!). Safe travels to Tuscany!

Summary: We spent the most wonderful fortnight at Villino Rossi and would absolutely love to return again. We were warmly welcomed and looked after beautifully during our stay. Vicky and family gave us excellent advice and information about the local area. The house is beautiful, comfortably furnished and well equipped. The pool is so fantastic, we could barely drag ourselves out of it to eat wonderful lunches on the vine covered patio. The dinner Vicky and Romina prepared on our first night was delicious, and fetching fresh produce from the garden for our meals was a real treat, especially when cooked with Monti olive oil. We found it very easy to visit Volterra, Lucca, Siena, Pisa and Florence by car. Lucca is our personal favourite. The pictures don't do it justice, the views are second to none, it is incredibly peaceful, you really couldn't find a better place to stay in Tuscany. Just don't expect it to be available, we'll have booked it already......

Summary: The villa is a real gem. Simply stunning! We were blown away by both the views and the quality of the interior. Everything is just perfect. The house has a lovely homely feel and is spotlessly clean. The saltwater pool is equally pristine and the views from it are to die for! We asked Vicky to prepare a simple meal for us on arrival and we were welcomed to the most amazing spread of homemade dishes and salads of their homegrown vegetables. We also thoroughly enjoyed their olive oil & wine. Vicky was also kind enough to do a shop for us, so that we awoke to a lovely breakfast the following morning. Lovely extra touches were the coffee pods, washing powder, dishwasher tablets and bathroom toiletries. Highlights of our stay (two families with four kids aged 6-8). Swimming in the pool; collecting vegetables from the garden; watching the sun set over the valley and mountains beyond with a glass of local wine; cooking on the fabulous outdoor grill and eating alfresco for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I could go on and on, but suffice to say this place is heaven and we can't wait to return. Thank you Vicky. From The Mathers & The Maguires

Summary: Our stay in the villa of Monti was the perfect way to complete our vacation to Europe. The home is beautiful and, more importantly, comfortable for our family of 9. We loved the rural location which allowed use the ability to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery while making easy day trips to explore the surrounding towns. Even our trip to coastal town of Forte di Marmi was a quick drive a little over an hour. Vicky was the perfect hostess, friendly, helpful and accessible whenever we needed her. The highlight of our stay at Monti was the evening we spent cooking and sharing a meal with her and her gifted assistants: Gina and Romina. This allowed us to enjoy the true essence of Tuscany in a personal way. We were thrilled to learn of the history and heritage of the estate which is quite evident in the villas and the chapel on the property. It was a privilege to stay here and I love to have the opportunity to do it again.

Summary: This is an outstanding vacation property located in a picture-postcard perfect part of Tuscany. The pictures and description do not do it justice, you will be in awe of the scenery and completely satisfied with the house and amenities. The property is meticulously furnished and maintained, with a large, fully functional kitchen, luxurious bathrooms and showers, and a rooftop terrace with a view that will make you long for your next visit. The owner, Vicki, could not have been more accommodating and outgoing, making sure our every need was anticipated, and even having a delicious dinner waiting for us on the evening we arrived! The property has recently come back on the rental market, as the previous tenants stayed here for three years, and I can easily see why! You cannot go wrong with this rental or the owner, we can't wait to return next year.
